Humor Monastery

During the reign of Voivode Alexandru cel Bun, at the beginning of the 15th century, Ivan – the Vornic of Humor – erected a stone church for the monks of the wooden hermitage in Humor village. Under the patronage of the prince and later Stephen the Great, Humor Monastery developed alongside it. The original church built by Vornic Ivan fell into ruin in the early decades of the following century. Safety and convenience are paramount, with 176 lighting poles for night skiing, an administrative building, ample parking, a ticketing office, and a snow grooming machine.
